Newspaper nails

This is a tried and true method on how to do newspaper nails! 

 First, put a base clear coat on your nails.  Wait until dry to continue.

Next, choose a color that is light but NOT see through. Like cream,gray,light pink,light blue, yellow, or white. Paint a coat of the color of your choice, then add a second coat.

Put another clear coat on your nails.

Now, take rubbing alcohol and put it in a small, shallow dish.

Take a newspaper, picking fonts of your choice, and cut it into strips that are twice the height and twice the width of your nails. You do not need to be exact.

Take 1 strip and dip it into the alcohol so that it is completely covered. Place the strip over a nail so that the nail is COMPLETELY covered and apply pressure. Hold the strip there for at least 15 seconds, and be careful not to move the paper. Remove the strip, and repeat the process for the other nails using a new strip for each.

Now, cover your nails with another clear coat. DONE!!! 

Harry Potter goes muggle

Harry Potter lay awake in bed, staring up at the ceiling. On the wall, he followed the small cracks and crevices with his eyes, scanning ever so slowly while waving his wand carelessly in the air... and then the power went out. Literally.The wand became dull and lost its sparkle, shrinking into a stick.

"Ron, Hermione, what on earth did you guys do to my wand?!"Harry screamed.

Ron and Hermione rushed into Harry's bedroom, also holding dim wands. The group turned and stared at the wall. It was disintegrating into a projection of the Minister of Magic.

"The ministry has fallen. Ollivander's wand service has gone, and You-know-who got into the GREAT BOOK OF WANDS and cast a spell to disappear good magic, that is, until someone can stop it. You have been warned- live as a muggle would and share no secrets of the wizard world. Goodbye- perhaps for eternity!" The projection stated, and a second later, it disappeared.

"What in the world is this? A joke? Blimey mate, he's just pulling our leg, right?" Ron whimpered.

Harry and Hermione remained silent.

"Right?" Ron asked frantically.

But the truth was clear that the wizard world was gone... and they couldn't do anything about it. The three wizards walked out of the room and stared out at the world, not knowing what secrets it held in store for them.

The Evil Eye

It is believed that there is an evil curse called the evil eye. This causes bad luck and misfortune. People think that if they wear jewelry with evil eyes on it, they will be respecting the curse and getting good luck.

This is an example of an evil eye. There are many different kinds, but they all have the same effect.

Evil eyes work because they don't GIVE you good luck, they just are a way of preventing bad luck from happening.

This is the evil eye have... And it works!!!!

Carnival Cruise

Hi. Have you ever been on a cruise? Certainly it wasn't like this one. I'll tell you about it in steps.

FIRST: I went on the Carnival Pride. We took it out of Baltimore, Maryland. I'm from NJ so I couldn't wait for the warm weather! As soon as we get there, there is a HUGE line of cars waiting to get in. There are people saying " Stay to the left! and Stay to the right!" I guess the people didn't like us because they put us in the long line to the waiting area. After that we waited in ANOTHER line so they could check our belongings. They took my water bottle and my mom lost her black gloves when they scanned everything! The line after that was horrible. There were so many people in wheelchairs and a lot of FAT people with walkers. NOW FOR............

THE SHIP: We all got our room keys and we got pictures taken and all that. Now we were FINALLY on the cruise ship! The... CARNIVAL PRIDE! They had a bunch of restaurants and 10 WHOLE giant floors that held cabins and restaurants. There was a lobby and a bunch of cool stuff. Ready for the tour? Then go on the ship yourself! I'm not writing all that!

Black Holes

Billions of miles away, a black hole is out there somewhere. Black Holes are invisible because anything that enters a black hole is trapped...Even light! Around the black hole is a surface that we can't detect, which marks a point where you won't return. This is called an event horizon. A black hole reflects nothing. Nothing can escape from within the event horizon. If you were to stand on a black hole, you would get sucked in at the speed of light!

Black Holes are packed together areas of mass so vast, that the mammoth force of gravity denies everything within a certain area around it from passing. That area is the even horizon. Scientists believe that a black hole is caused when a red super giant star collapses.

Information on black holes is limited because mankind can't see them, but we know about them because of the impact they have on space around them. Below are stimulations of black holes.
